Ratan Tata is currently 83 years old. He was born in Mumbai in the year 1937 to Naval Tata. He is also known as the scion of the Tata family as by birth he already had numerous family ties with that of the Tata’s. Ratan Tata was raised by his grandmother Navajbai Tata after the divorce of his parents when he was only 10 years old. He was officially adopted by his grandmother through the J. N. Petit Parsi Orphanage. He completed his studies at the Campion School, Mumbai and Cathedral, and John Connon School Mumbai. He graduated from Riverdale Country School in New York City in 1955, followed by a degree in Architecture from Cornell University in 1975.
At around 21 years of his tenure, the Tata group revenues grew over 40 times and profited over 50 times. He was a major asset to the Tata group and contributed fairly to turning over huge profits.
